Alexandros Svolos was born in Krusevo in 1892 and died in Athens in 1956. He was an expert on constitutional law, professor at the University of Athens and politician. He took part in the National resistance movement, he became President of the Political Committee of National Liberation (PEEA) and he suffered persecutions and exile due to his beliefs. He was elected Member of Parliament in Thessaloniki in 1950 and 1956.
