Vasilis Hatziandreou was born in Moschonisi, off the coast of Ayvalik and he was a philologist. He was the director and publisher, along with Manolis Manos, of the magazine Techni (Art) that was launched in 1921, as a bi-weekly literary review. Six issues of the magazine were published. He was also the Principal of the
Chrysippos was a Stoic philosopher of Ancient Greece, from Cilicia of Minor Asia. He went to Athens and succeeded Cleanthes in the management of the Stoic School. He was a prolific writer but none of his works have survived. Chrysippos was also the name of a Greek mythological figure.
Athanasios Hristopoulos was born in Kastoria in 1772 and died in Bucharest in 1847. He was a scholar, lawyer, magistrate, poet and playwright. He was initiated in Filiki Eteria and a consultant of Alexandros Ypsilantis.
Stamatios (Stamos) or Kapetan Hapsas was a chieftain of Macedonia, from Halkidiki, who fought during the Revolution of 1821. He was a comrade of Emmanouil Papas, a leader of the Revolution in Macedonia. He was killed fighting in the battle of Vasilika in June 1821.
Konstantinos Hatzigiannakis was a physician from East Thrace. He was elected MP in the national elections of 1920, with the Liberal party, in the electoral district of Saranta Ekklisies.
Georgios Charalampous was a Cypriot fighter of EOKA, from Morphou. He worked as a carpenter and he was shot and died in November 1955.

Julian (A.D. 331 or 332-363) was an Emperor of the Roman State, with excellent classical education. He was killed in a battle against the Persians. He is remembered as Julian the Apostate by the Church.
