Manolis Andronikos was an eminent archaeologist and Professor at the Philosophy School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was born in 1919 in Bursa, Minor Asia and died in 1992 in Thessaloniki. His name was associated with significant excavating projects in Macedonia and especially the discovery of the two first royal tombs of Vergina.
