Balanos Christodoulos was a National Martyr of 1821 from Thessaloniki, a descendant of an Epirotic family. Member of Filiki Eteria. He was hanged along with other notables of Thessaloniki by the Ottoman authorities, in the “Kapani” market after the uprising of Halkidiki.
