Stilpon Kyriakides was born in 1887 in Komotini and died in 1964 in Thessaloniki. He was a distinguished historian and folklorist, Professor at the Philosophy School, Dean at the University of Thessaloniki and one of the founding members and President of the Society for Macedonian Studies. He left a prodigious amount of work.
