AGNOSTOU STRATIOTOU

Most modern States honour the Unknown Soldier, as a minimum homage to the dead bodies of the soldiers who were left unburied. The concept was born during the First World War in France. The cenotaph of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was built in Athens in front of the Greek Parliament and the unveiling took place on 25 March 1932.
