Vasilis Hatziandreou was born in Moschonisi, off the coast of Ayvalik and he was a philologist. He was the director and publisher, along with Manolis Manos, of the magazine Techni (Art) that was launched in 1921, as a bi-weekly literary review. Six issues of the magazine were published. He was also the Principal of the 3rd Boys’ High School of Thessaloniki, General Inspector of Secondary Education and member of the BoD of the Charity Brotherhood of Thessaloniki. The same name also belonged to a soldier who fought and died during WWI, on the 5th of September 1918, at Doirani.
